Lane Cove FC is a community based football club with a 90 year history in the Lane Cove district of Sydney’s lower North Shore. Our home grounds are Pottery Green in the heart of Lane Cove & Blackman Park in Lane Cove West, both located only 6km from Sydney’s CBD.

We have players of all levels and abilities playing in the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) competitions. Our teams range from Under 6 MiniRoos, Juniors, All Ages and Senior Teams for women up to Over 45s, and men’s teams up to Over 55s.

THANKS DARREN THOMPSON!!!

The club would like to express our enormous gratitude to Darren who has served 8 years on the Lane Cove FC board with four of those as president. Our football club is stronger for all his hard work and leadership and although he is stepping off the board, we know Darren will still be driving us onwards and upwards, on and off the pitch.

To recognise his immense contribution to the club, the board will be recommending to members that Darren be appointed as a Life Member of Lane Cove FC at our 2026 Annual General Meeting. Congratulations DT!!!

We also wish Darren a speedy recovery from his current knee injury and look forward to seeing him continue his 13+ year stint with Lane Cove FC.

LANE COVE FC KICKING GOALS!!!

We are pleased to have brought home a couple of awards from the NSFA's President's Dinner.

The first was the Fair Play Award for our Premier League Men's team. Fantastic spirit shown by the lads in a tough season.

The club was also awarded the Hillary Bingham Sustainability Award for our donation of jerseys which made their way to regional NSW and orphanages in Uganda (see third slide.

Two sets of mums and daughters winning the lot for the Cove!!!

Mums, Samantha & Claire, had barely taken a breath after watching their daughters, Tessa and Harriet, win their G12 final, when they took to the pitch for their own quest for glory. In a beautiful bit of symmetry both Lane Cove teams beat North Sydney by 2 goals. Congrats you champions!

Women’s O30s – Making Their Mark

In their debut season, the new Women’s O30s team came together under the leadership of Captain Anna van Beek and Coach Damon Callaghan. With just one loss and one draw during the league in Division 2, they claimed the Minor Premiership and sealed it with a 2–0 grand final victory.

The year was about more than results – it was about building a strong culture and setting foundations for the future. The team now has its sights firmly set on Division 1 in 2026.

A big thank you goes to Lane Cove FC, the Division 3 squad for lending players when needed, and to Women’s Coordinator Angelina Rothheudt, whose support and dedication helped this team thrive.

G12 Div 3 – Season of Champions

Our G12 Division 3 team capped off a truly outstanding season under the steady leadership of Coach Tim Marshall. From the opening whistle to the final match, the girls showed grit, skill, and a genuine love for the game. Their hard work paid off with the Premiership title, earned through a string of determined performances and hard-fought victories.

The momentum carried through to the finals, where the team remained undefeated in the round-robin series and sealed the season in style with a commanding 3–1 win over North Sydney. Strength and resilience were evident across the park, with every player lifting their game and growing in confidence under Tim’s guidance.

Special recognition goes to star strikers Maia Hides and Jade Frasca, whose long-standing partnership has blossomed into a dynamic attacking force, and to goalkeeper Juliette Marshall, whose composure and fearless keeping provided the team with a rock-solid last line of defense.

Congratulations to the players, coach, and families for a season to remember – a proud moment for our club!

Club Day & Kit Returns 2025 will take place on Saturday, 6th September at Blackman Park from 8.30am - 2.30pm!

This is the day where trophies are presented to all teams from U6-U18s, and all team jerseys/equipment is returned.

There will be two jumping castles, an inflatable dart board and Optus sponsored face-painting.

The timetable for the day will be sent via our comms channels shortly.

Parents and kids are encouraged to bring a football and have a final kick-around for the season, as there will also be goals set up across the grounds!

The BBQ will be fired up for breakfast and lunch!

Teams must be on time to the presentation tent in order to be presented with their trophies. Team managers will be handed all photographs to distribute.
Kit Returns

For all team Coaches and Managers; shirt and kit return will be available all day until 2:00pm. Therefore, please ensure you return all of the equipment issued to you at the beginning of the season. Please note on the return bags the name of the team, number of shirts, balls, bibs etc. If there are any missing shirts, please can you include the name of the person holding the shirt and the shirt number.

"Our LCFC U13 Panthers had an incredible journey at the Cougar Cup, held at Kariong FC Oval on Sunday 22nd June 2025.

We had a challenging start but quickly found our rhythm with a solid draw and two strong wins, pushing us through to the semifinals, all against tough Central Coast U13 teams.

The semifinal was a thrilling match that ended in a draw, leading to extra time where we scored a golden goal to secure our place in the finals.

In the grand final, the game remained goalless through regular and extra time. The winner was decided by corners, and we proudly finished as first runners-up.

It was a day full of passion, teamwork, and resilience and we couldn’t be prouder of our players!"
